After all that teasing, he hoped he didn’t turn out looking too foolish; it would be hisfirst roller-coaster, after all.
“We should keep an eye out for the next ride we want to try, too.”
She nodded, still taking in the myriad of sights and sounds Twinkle Park had to offer. The lights were so bright, dazzling even. It had an enchanting quality to it, though she couldn’t yet relax. It was still too new.
“What ride do you want to go on…?”

“I won’t be,” she protested, replying slightly too quickly.
She hoped she wouldn’t be. In fact, now she was dead set on not being frightened. If all these people could handle it, so could she. She was a warrior, wasn’t she?
“Where do we get on?”
“This line here, I think.”

Shade whirled around, her eyes widened at the very accusation. “No. Of course not,” she replied, her voice indignant, “I’m a warrior. I’m not afraid. I’m just…”
She looked again to the roller-coaster whizzing by above her. “… unfamiliar with that.”
“We can try it out, if you want. I’ll be with you in case you get too scared.” he teased.

Where do they start? Where do they go? Her head jerked as he heard screaming, as a rollercoaster flew past above them.

Oh, these places are full of thrill rides and stuff.

“… that was! … did anyone even see us approach?” The technology of Nocturne was advanced, yes, but it was also geared to war. A sensor like this didn’t even cross her mind.
“… What kind of park is this?”
I’m actually not sure. I think it’s got all kinds of fun things to do, like boat rides, mirror mazes, castles, bumper cars…
“… I’ve never heard of any of that. Have you done this all before?”

At first she held her breath, clinging tightly to Knuckles as they descended. It was only after several minutes of floating that she finally began to relax. Knuckles knew what he was doing, she reminded herself, steadying her breathing, and he wouldn’t allow something dangerous to happen.
She could trust him.
*He noticed when she started to relax when he could breathe again. He smirked a little, but tried to keep it on the side of his face she couldn’t see.
They landed right next to the entrance to Twinkle Park. The Kiosk reads: “COUPLES GET IN FREE”. It observed them land, registering Shade’s grip on Knuckles as a hug. The elevator lift opened, granting free access.*

She hesitated for a brief moment, before finally putting her arms around him, tightly embracing him. The incident where she had nearly fallen off the island had shaken her, but… she trusted the guardian.
*When he was sure she was ready, he stepped off the edge. The he caught the wind after a second as their decent slowed to a crawl and they floated rapidly towards the city.*
